Kyla's Story

Kyla was a beautiful young woman who lived life to the fullest. She was diagnosed at 23 with the deadliest form of brain cancer, Glioblastoma Multiforme.

If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk in my garden forever. You will never be forgotten.

*********************************** A rose once grew where all could see,

Sheltered beside a garden wall,

And, as the days passed swiftly by,

It spread its branches, straight and tall...

One day, a beam of light shone through a crevice that had opened wide,

The rose bent gently towards its warmth then passed beyond to the other side,

Now, you who deeply feel its loss, be comforted,

The rose blooms there,

Its beauty even greater now,

Nurtured by God's own loving care.

THINGS TO HOLD ON TO

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Kahlil Gibran *********************************** Don't Panic! There isn't a disease or other malady that God can't heal or take you through to a glorious conclusion! *********************************** One day at a time! You only have the resources for one day at a time. God will meet you in the morning with a freshly whipped batch of grace for that day, but don't try to take on tomorrow's trials with today's grace. *********************************** Know the Lord will fight this battle for you. You want to be faithful to His leading but the final word will be what He does, not what you do.  *********************************** Don't be heroic and avoid the help of other people. This is a time when others will be there for you........and sometimes the most unlikely and unexpected kind of people. *********************************** Know that you are loved and prayed for by not only family, loved ones and friends, but by many others that have never had the joy of knowing you. *********************************** Have a deep commitment to live.....Embrace life. ~unknown *********************************** Thy journey be auspicious; may the breeze, Gentle and soothing, fan thy cheek; may lakes All bright with lilycups delight thine eyes, The sunbeam's heat be cooled by shady trees, The dust beneath thy feet the pollen be of lotuses. ~ from Sanskrit play, c.400 A.D.
